IN 2015

TEMPO'S GROWTH & MODERNIZATION
Building on its strong foundation, TEMPO entered an unprecedented era of growth and innovation from 2015 to 2025. This decade was characterized by membership expansion, financial milestones, and forward-thinking initiatives that positioned the organization as a leading force for women's professional advancement.

The year 2015 marked an important expansion of TEMPO's mission with the creation of Emerging Women Leaders (EWL), a program designed to nurture the next generation of female leadership talent. This strategic initiative recognized the importance of providing targeted support and development opportunities for women in earlier stages of their careers. As the EWL program evolved, it developed its own comprehensive structure with dedicated Programs, Membership, Mentoring Circles, and Engagement Committees, creating a robust framework to support rising professional women.
A particularly innovative aspect of TEMPO's development during this period was the establishment of mentorship connections between TEMPO members and EWL participants, creating valuable cross-generational professional relationships. This mentorship bridge strengthened both programs while fostering personal connections that benefited mentors and mentees alike.
The organization experienced remarkable growth during this decade, with membership more than doubling from 228 to 450 members. This expansion reflected both the increasing demand for TEMPO's offerings and the organization's effectiveness in meeting the needs of professional women. To protect its identity during this period of growth, TEMPO secured confirmation of its trademark license, ensuring the integrity of its brand as its influence expanded.
In 2020, TEMPO undertook a comprehensive rebranding initiative in partnership with Bader Rutter, resulting in a new logo and visual identity that reflected the organization's modern outlook while honoring its rich history. This refreshed brand positioning aligned with TEMPO's evolution and growing prominence in the professional community.
The decade saw several innovative programs and initiatives, including the establishment of a Speakers Bureau that leveraged the expertise of TEMPO members, and the conducting of the #MeToo Survey, which demonstrated TEMPO's engagement with critical issues affecting women in the workplace. Additionally, the TEMPO Foundation expanded its impact by introducing Professional Development grants, providing financial support for women's continued career growth.
TEMPO's influence extended into cultural spheres with the Direct Positive documentary, which earned recognition as Best Film at the Milwaukee Film Festival, showcasing the organization's impact through compelling storytelling.
A significant financial milestone was achieved in 2023 when TEMPO reached $1 million in annual revenue, demonstrating the organization's fiscal strength and sustainability. This financial growth enabled TEMPO to establish new headquarters at The Avenue, providing a physical space commensurate with the organization's stature and needs.
Amidst these achievements, membership dues remained accessible at $350 annually, reflecting TEMPO's commitment to inclusivity while maintaining premium services and programming.
The decade culminated with the celebration of TEMPO's 50th anniversary, marking half a century of advancing women's leadership and creating a professional community that has shaped countless careers and influenced the broader business landscape. This significant milestone provided an opportunity to both honor TEMPO's legacy and envision its future.
