Q: What unique qualities do you believe sets you apart as a leader and woman of influence?
A: I’ve been told my unique qualities are: enthusiasm for my work and my colleagues, an innate ability to organize, creativity, and writing/speaking skills.

Q: Can you share a pivotal moment in your career that shaped your path?
A: A pivotal career moment came when I moved from the academic world to the corporate one. The teamwork, expertise, accountability and fast pace were a fit for me. Also, leading Tempo so early in its development, and mine, gave me important contacts and inspiration.

Q: How do you define leadership, and how do you embody those qualities in your own life?
A: All situations are different but all leaders need to deal well with change, focus on what’s most important, give their teams what they need to succeed, and be willing to accept responsibility.

Q: How do you pay it forward and support the next generation of leaders?
A: I have done some mentoring but, more recently, have provided input on long-range plans, marketing, reorganization, etc. for non-profit leaders.
