Wendy Baumann, appointed Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions in February 2025, previously led the Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC) for over 30 years. Under her leadership, WWBIC grew significantly and provided over $82 million in loans to underserved communities. She brings a strong background in economic development, financial inclusion, and public service to her new role.
