Peggy Troy
Retired, President and CEO - Children's Hospital of Wisconsin
Peggy Troy, R.N., M.S.N., served for 15 years as president and CEO of Children’s Wisconsin before retiring at the end of December 2024. A 1974 Marquette College of Nursing graduate, she began her career as a pediatric nurse at Children’s and later held leadership roles in Texas and Tennessee. Returning in 2009, she became the first woman to lead Wisconsin’s only health system dedicated entirely to children. During her tenure, the organization expanded to over 50 locations statewide, achieved national recognition in multiple specialties, and launched a major mental health initiative and Level I trauma center.
Peggy is known for innovation in whole-child care, serving on several boards (including Marquette and Teach for America) and earning honors such as BizTimes’ Woman Executive of the Year.
